This post is a little late I know. It's that time of year again, when most girls including myself think what am I going to wear for a Christmas party or for New Year? We all want to feel glam and confident ready to dance the night away. I was exactly the same, so wandered around town for a while and browsed online at different brands. I decided I didn't want to spend too much with the cost of Christmas too. Here is a run down of my outfit. I am no model but I thought I should attach a picture of the outfit put together.

The Dress.

I picked this lovely dress up in New Look in November. I saw it as I walked in, picked it up and bought it without much thought,  I had no idea what it was going to look like on, I took a gamble. I liked it on, It's got a choker neck line which I've been loving lately. I've got a couple of jumpers that have the same neck from River Island, for someone with broad shoulders like myself it seems to be quite flattering. I went for plain black so I could accessorise with other shades, but check this dress out as it does come in other colours. It cost £19.99 which I thought was really reasonable. It has two layers too so it's falls nice on the body and isn't too clingy which is great if there is a meal involved. This dress is fairly short so I've decided to pair it with thick black tights, but depending on the person you could go without if you wanted.

Every girl loves a new pair of shoes, the shape of the dress has a 70s vibe so I wanted something quite chunky with a block heel and a platform. I decided on a pair of black suede shoes from Clarks with a bar across. These retail at £65 and are now £26 in the sale. The comfort in them is like nothing I have felt before in a heel, with the block heel and the platform you really can dance all night. I think the style of these look great with the dress too. Love them!

The Bag.

I was quite short on time to find a bag so I visited the boohoo site and managed to get a bag sent to me within about 13 hours, I just love their next day delivery. I wanted a little bit of embellishment on my bag as with the choker style dress I'm not able to wear a necklace. The bag I chose (See in image) was a black, shiny and had pearl beading all around the outside, this looks great with the shoes and only cost £14 which is an absolute bargain.

Faux Fur Bomber.

I've had a thing for bomber jackets ever since last spring/summer16 so with 25% off in New Look I jumped on it. It cost me £33.74 and It's the softest jacket ever and I thought I'd need something to keep me warm, any excuse to buy a new coat. This jacket just gives the finishing touch to my outfit. I've also had my nails done and I chose a festive gold glittery Gelish, and had them done by a lovely beautician called Claire from Pure Indulgence. Very good service and great chat. So I am now party ready.

Let me know what you think. I did purchase these items the end of November so I’m sure all items will be available at sale prices.

I also took some snaps of two friends and wanted to share their outfits.

Harriet (seen below) is wearing a jumpsuit from ASOS paired with nude sandals, very festive and glam.

Billie (above) is wearing a glitzy cami from Peacocks tucked into a pair of high waisted trouser from New Look. Looking very elegant.

Hope this has given you some inspiration. Thanks for reading, Love N xx
